NPD are pleased to announce that they have entered into agreement to acquire the Old Golf House Hotel (Huddersfield) and Imperial Crown Hotel (Halifax) from Corus Hotels Ltd. Corus and NPD are now working to ensure a smooth transition to minimise any disruption to the business.
NPD have explained their intentions for the properties to ensure a long term positive outcome for the staff, the businesses and the surrounding areas.
These two new additions form the base of a swiftly expanding West Yorkshire cluster, with a third hotel just around the corner. They will look to replicate the success of Llandudno Bay Hotel (Premier), Belmont Llandudno (Boutique), Queen’s Hotel (Classic) and Caer Rhun Hall (Manor) which make up the North Wales cluster.
Following renovations, the North Wales cluster now boasts an aggregated 85.68% occupancy, this, combined with the merged workforce and increased buying power, sees the cluster go from strength to strength.
The successful cluster model is now being systematically rolled out across the United Kingdom and we are thrilled to be introducing this concept closer to home.
The Coach House, located in the centre of Halifax will become an indulgent addition to a town that is currently undergoing huge investment and regeneration.
Sitting in our Boutique Collection of hotels, it will shortly undergo a complete renovation programme which will see it turned into a stylish 41-bedroom hotel complete with modern dining and tailored for those looking for an indulgent break.
Ideally located close to the train station and the recently renovated Piece Hall, the arrival of The Coach House comes at an ideal time and will benefit from an influx of new visitors flooding into the town.
The Old Golf House Hotel, located in Outlane on the outskirts of Huddersfield, is set to sit right at the heart of NPD. Whilst undergoing major refurbishment, the old golf house will become the HQ for NPD and its hotel operation. The hotel will demonstrate all the differing styles within the groups hotel portfolio, becoming a centre of excellence for its staff and creating a fantastic new hotel experience for surrounding area.
